Westpac Stadium Wellington
This page provides a guide for coach parking arrangements at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
Parking Permits
A valid parking permit is required, which is issued by the Bus and Coach Association. This can be purchased on line through this website.
Parking Instructions for Drivers
For all minor events at the Stadium (under 35 coaches), permits will state "Stadium Parking" followed by a number. Coaches are to drive into the main entrance off Aotea Quay (opposite the PTA) and drop off passengers at the security gates. Coaches will then be directed to park underneath the ramp until the conclusion of the event.
For all major events, coaches with parking permits numbered 1-86 shall travel directly to the Passenger Transfer Area (PTA). Entry is via Hinemoa St (CentrePort entrance). Wheelchairs and mobility may be available at the PTA. For coaches with permits numbered 87 onwards, travel to Bunny St (in front of Railway Station) for further directions from the Coach Marshalls.
Disembarking
Please do not allow passengers to disembark until you have completed parking manoeuvres, and until any adjacent coaches have also finished parking.
Set-down only
Coaches may set down passengers only (no pick ups) either at the Railway Station or at the Thorndon Quay overbridge to the Stadium.
Illegal Parking
The Wellington City Council will be enforcing coach parking. Coaches without a parking permit will either be fined or towed away if they are parked in the vicinity of the Stadium or downtown Wellington area.
Make sure your permit is displayed in the coach window at all times.
