As a bus operator, membership of the Association will bring very real benefits to your company. You will be able to access our exclusive trade discounts and Member services, and we can help you reach your business goals.
The Association's work includes representing the industry on school transport matters, urban issues, tourism, and limousine/small PSV's, which comprise the Association's four sector groups. The Association acts as the industry's voice to central and local government, related bodies and the media on relevant issues, writing submissions and publishing factsheets on relevant subjects.
There are standing committees dealing with technical issues, human resources, Star-Grading, and insurance. In addition, the Association's monthly circular magazine provides up-to-date information on industry matters, and is available to members free of charge. We also host regular seminars for the sector groups, as well as a major annual Conference and trade show.
Other benefits the Association offers include a Star Grading system for coaches, Heavy Vehicle Brake Type Testing, and model employment contracts (all free to members).
Our latest venture "Bus Jobs" has made it to the internet (www.busjobs.co.nz). With more and more Kiwis using public transport we urgently need to employ more bus drivers all over the country. So www.busjobs.co.nz was created to get more kiwis behind the wheel and into a career.
