Please find attached Kaikoura Update #21 16 June 2017, for information about State Highway 1 South road between Kaikoura and Christchurch.
GREAT NEWS - from 20 June - 30 September 2017, SH1 south road will be open for long weekend travel every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday during daylight hours.
The road will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It is anticipated SH1 south road will remain open from October 2017.
SH1 North road between Blenheim-Kaikoura will re-open in December 2017. Date to be confirmed.
