NEW Wait Zone for Buses/Coaches/Shuttles
With
the high season fast approaching, Christchurch International Airport have recognised a need to provide a
designated "wait area" for coaches and shuttles who may be experiencing delays
in group arrivals which will see them exceed the maximum 30 minute wait period
now imposed in the Coach Park (Service Lane 3).
This wait area is now in operation and is located on the corner of De Havilland Way and Orchard Road (see map attached). Temporary signage from the roundabout has been installed which should make it easier for you to follow.
It's now been requested that you all now start using this area. If any members of the Ground Transport Team recognise that you have exceeded the time restriction in the Coach Park (service lane 3) you will be directed to the "coach staging area".
This area is offered at no charge. If you have to drop off and pick up in the same trip we ask that after dropping off your customers you then proceed to the "coach staging area" until you are required to return to the Coach Park to pick up your passengers.
